Robert Eugene Miller, 82, of Mount Jackson, Virginia, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born September 2, 1934 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Pearlie Mae Lindamood Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Baker Miller, whom he married October 30, 1954.

He is also survived by his children, Steven Miller (Tammy) of Rotan, TX, Debbie Myers (W.T.) of New Market, Sherrie Miller (John) of Basye, Douglas Miller (Christine) of Manassas, Ben Miller (Renee) of Strasburg, David Miller (Kimberly) of Conway, SC, and Mark Miller and companion Devon of New Market.

Also surviving are three sisters, Evelyn Moomaw of Edinburg, Fianna Frye of Mt. Jackson and Mary Barb of Basye; a brother, Stanley Miller of Fort Valley; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home, 5997 Main Street, Mt. Jackson, VA, with Pastor Jack Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Doug Miller, Ben Miller, David Miller, Mark Miller, Joshua Miller, Luke Custer Jr., Steve Miller and Jonathan Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Les Warr, Dick Delaughter, Gene Estep, Butch Emerick, Matt Carper, Zach Carper, Al Jordan and Floyd Baker.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
