Phyllis Bonita “Bonnie” Snyder, 82, of Mt. Lake Park, MD, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD.


Born April 6, 1934, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harold Olive and Mabel Virginia (Morgan) Teagarden. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Biser; four brothers, Harold Teagarden, Kenneth Teagarden, Rex Teagarden and Donald Teagarden, Sr.; four grandchildren, Christine Snyder, Jarrod Snyder, Timothy Brosnihan and Mark Brosnihan.

Bonnie was employed by Garrett County Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse, were she retired in December of 1998. The last 20 years of her nursing carrer was spent in the Obstetrics Unit at the hospital.

She loved babies and had the slogan of “Babies are Beautiful”. In her spare time, Bonnie loved to crochet.

She is survived by her husband, Delmer Snyder; two sons, Keith Allen Snyder, Laurel, MD; Michael Andrew Snyder and wife, Teresa, Deer Park, MD; two daughters, Brenda Kaye Snyder-Brosnihan and husband, Pete, McHenry, MD; Susan Marie Snyder, Oakland; six grandchildren, Peter Thomas Brosnihan, Jr, Taylor Bruce Snyder, Mitchell Ray Snyder, Zak Jordan Brosnihan, Melinda Sue Snyder and Morgan Grace Brosnihan; two great-grandchildren, Alex Joseph Brosnihan and Troy Alexander Snyder.


Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Dave Terlizzi officiating.

Interment will be in Eglon Cemetery, Eglon, WV.
