Darlene Miles, 75, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at her home in Columbus.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2:00 P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Burma officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. all at Gass Haney Funeral Home.
Darlene was born April 12, 1941, in Hartington, Nebraska, to Emil and Lena (Petersen) Beig. She attended school in Hastings, Nebraska. On June 1, 1974, Darlene was united in marriage to David Miles in Columbus, Nebraska. They lived in Omaha, Nebraska, for nearly 30 years where Darlene was a homemaker and raised her family. In 1999, they moved to Columbus. Darlene enjoyed gardening, playing all types of card games, and her dogs. Her biggest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.
