Shirley was the daughter of Tony and Mavis Marlene (Blagrave) Neary. She worked in the health care industry as a accountant. She married Bill Lay on July 14, 2001 and was of the Catholic faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-laws, Richard and Danielle Norvelle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Darrell and Danielle Norvelle of Yukon, Oklahoma, Josh Quick of Stroud, Oklahoma. Four daughters Jessica Quick of Cassville, Missouri, Heather, Kristen and Shannon Lay of San Diego, Ca. Six sisters, Marlene Hanten of Depew, Joyce Smith-Brown of Stroud, Donna Messer of Stroud,Rita Clegg of Qzark, Mo., Toni Vandever of Bristow, Ok., Tina Sherman of Sapulpa, Ok. Twelve grandchildren, Madison, Cally Bowyer, Ian Quick, Aidan, Ethan, Tristan, Jozlynn Norvelle, Annie Cook, Peyton, Parker Norvelle, Kaiya Kelley, Vincent Ramirez and one great grandchild, Emrie Cook. Other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Louis Catholic church in Stroud on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jame Mickus officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
