She was born on June 6,1947, the daughter of Daniel G. Atkinson & Marion Lucile Atkinson in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Donna graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1965. She retired after 30 years from Mountain State Blue Cross & Blue Shield. She had a passion for Flea Markets, yard sales, & working in her garden. She loved all animals, especially her two cats, Molly & Matty.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eric Atkinson, sons Curtis L. Modesitt, Jr (Tammie) of Parkersburg, Drew Atkinson (Samantha) of Windfield, WV, and daughter Kimberly Russell (Bill) of North East, Pa. She is also survived by her brother Daniel Atkinson (Janet); two sisters Sharon Starcher (Ray) and Velvett Bibbee of Fleming, Ohio; two granddaughters Abby & Reagan; grandson Zachary; two step granddaughters Nikki and Brittany; and step grandson Chase.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Paul Atkinson (Ginger) & brother in law Paul Bibbee (Velvett).
Services will be Wednesday 10:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg with Pastor Dewayne Stutler of the Living Faith United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
