Marion "Lucile" Atkinson, 86, of Parkersburg, WV, went home to be with her husband in Heaven on Monday, May 2, 2011, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

Lucile was born September 22, 1924, in Parkersburg, a daughter to the late Fredrick and Linnie (Walters) Burgy. She was the former owner and operator of the M&L Water Company of Parkersburg which she founded with her husband during the 1980s. She also loved to play bingo, take trips to casinos, sewing, and used to work various flea markets in the area. Lucile was a member of the Red Hats Society at Worthington Manor for 6 years.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Atkinson II (Janet), Williamstown, WV; Sharon Starcher (Ray), Waverly, WV; Larry Atkinson, (Ginger), Donna Atkinson (Eric), all of Parkersburg; Velvet Bibbee (Paul), Fleming, OH; sister in law, Lois Atkinson, Belpre, OH; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Atkinson; sisters, Sarah Watkins and Beulah Rodgers, and her brother, Paul Burgy.

Funeral Services will be 11am, Thursday, May 5, 2011, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with burial to follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg. Friends may call from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the funeral home.
