George James Yeakley, age 69, of Witter, Arkansas died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.
George was born August 8, 1947 in San Jose, California, the son of George Eugene and Vera Violet (Smith) Yeakley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Herbert Morris; a daughter, Virginia Bryant; and six brothers, Eugene William "Willie" Yeakley, Guy Fred Yeakley, John Henry Yeakley, James Dale Yeakley, Charles Edward Yeakley and Jerry Wayne Yeakley.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Peggy Yeakley; two sons, Harold Ray Yeakley (and wife, Christina) of Half Moon Bay, California, and Harry Shane Yeakley of Witter; two daughters, Patricia Degonia of Little Rock, and Peggy Hobby of Laurenceburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Omar Yeakley of Huntsville, and R.J. Yeakley (and wife, Linda) of Springdale; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Reverand Glen Faulkner officiating.
