Joseph "Joe" B. Fuller

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Joseph "Joe" B. Fuller, 95, husband of the late Mrs. Margaret "Marge" W. Fuller.

Mr. Fuller was born in Augusta and attended William Robinson School, Richmond Academy, the Junior College of Augusta and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. A Navy Veteran, he served in The Amphibious Forces in the Pacific during World War II and with the Naval Beach Group One (Beachmaster Unit One) during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Fuller was employed Sancken's Dairy (Later Borden) and by Merry Brothers Brick and Tile, Co. (now Boral Brick) from which he retired in 1985.

He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, a life member of The Naval Reserve Association, a life member of the Military's Officer Association of America, The "360" Club of the Senior Citizens Center, and a former member of the Advisory Council for the "Meal on Wheels" program. He delivered meals in the Augusta area for over 19 years.

Family members include sons: Russell M. Fuller (Phyllis) of Cary, NC, and Joseph 'Pete" Fuller (Kay) of Fernandina Beach, FL; grandchildren: Christy, Barry, Andy, and Michael; and 3 great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Friday, January 6, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Mike Riddle officiating.
