Lois Edna Burleson Bicknell, 80, of Tremont died Friday, June 8, 2001, at her residence.

Born April 24, 1921, in Armington to Samuel J. and Nettie Margaret Azbill Denny, she married James A. Burleson on Oct. 12, 1940, in St. Louis. He died April 19, 1985. She married Hugh Bicknell on March 18, 1990. He died April 5, 1991.

She also was preceded in death by one son, six brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two sons, David (and Mary) Burleson and the Rev. Donald (and Donna) Burleson; two daughters, Linda Mead and Margaret Burleson; three stepsons, Donald Bicknell, Gerald Bicknell, and William Bicknell; two stepdaughters, Beverly Vandevort and Marilyn Long; three brothers, Ora Denny, Samuel Denny and Earl Denny; two sisters, Mary (and Harry) Brandt and Marie Blackwell.

She had been a dealer/representative for Stanley Home Products for 21 years.

Burial will be in Minier Cemetery in Minier.
