Kent Barfuss Griffeth, 58, died Dec. 25, 2016, following an accident while taking care of his mink ranch.

Kent was born Dec. 15, 1958, to Roger and Isabel Griffeth, of Franklin, Idaho. He married Debbie Hansen in 1989, and they are the parents of two girls, Erica, 17, and Vanessa, 13. His girls were the love of his life.

Kent had a big heart. He loved hunting and fishing, and brought home lots of halibut and salmon from Alaska. He often traveled with his family to make as many memories as possible with his girls. He loved watching Erica and Vanessa grow, attending all their sports events. He talked everyday with his father and good friend Keith Johnson.

Kent worked for 25 years at Thiokol where he made many friends and acquaintances. He retired 10 years ago to do what he loved: be at home and raise his mink.

Kent was active in the LDS Church, where he served a mission in the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission and in many different callings. He especially enjoyed studying to teach gospel doctrine classes and was currently a counselor in the high priest group of his ward. His greatest desire was his family was to be an eternal family.

He is survived by his wife and daughters, his parents and his sisters, Connie (Todd) Merrill of Preston and Karen (Russell) Hudson of Hyde Park, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. in the Franklin Stake Center, 106 E. Main, Franklin. Friends and family may call at a viewing on Friday, Dec. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, or Saturday, Dec. 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Franklin Stake Center. Interment will be in the Franklin, Idaho Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
