Roberta was born Feb. 20, 1935, in Powell, Wyoming to Chester Stevens and Rebecca Bishoff Stevens. She grew up in Lovell, Wyoming and graduated from Lovell High. She then moved to Idaho Falls where she graduated from the Ricks College School of Nursing as a registered nurse.
On June 17, 1956, she married Guy Franklin Isom in the Idaho Falls Temple and enjoyed a 60 year eternal marriage with the love of her life. They lived in the New Sweden area where they had a dairy farm. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Their daughter Rozanne was born on July 26, 1958, in Olympia, Washington, and their son Marc was born on September 21, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Roberta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithful served to the end. She loved to attend the temple, do genealogy work, crochet, knit, do needle point, quilt, write poetry, and was an avid reader good books. She also helped with the Red Cross Blood Mobile for many years. She and her husband served two missions, one to the Philippine Quezon City West mission and the second to the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor Center. She loved her family and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, her two children Rozanne Loynd of Port Orchard, Washington, and Marc A. (Jeanne) Isom of Blackfoot, Idaho; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her grandson, Justin James Isom.
There will be a viewing for friends and family on January 9, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street and prior to the funeral services on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, the family will visit with friends and family from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the Eagle Rock Stake Center, 2020 Charlotte Dr., followed by the funeral services for Roberta at 11 am with Bishop Frank Webber officiating. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
