Mr. Bobby Doyle Jones, age 80, died Saturday at his residence under the care of Gentiva Hospice and his family.
The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was longtime Bulloch County farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fermon and Nancy Hodges Jones; his sisters, Margie Dobson, Mary Walkin, Rita Gibbs and two brothers, Lavone Jones and John Paul Jones.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Trevelene Nichols Jones of Statesboro; three daughters, Sheila Jones, Judy Jones, and Cynthia Jones, all of Statesboro; two grandsons, Cameron Menendez and Connor Menendez of Tarpon Springs, FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, F.M. and Rozlin Jones and Talmadge and Ceiclene Jones, all of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Eason officiating.
Interment will be in the Brannen Family Cemetery.
