Died, at the home of his son in College Park Sunday evening, October 13, 1929, Mr J R Burks, of 1429 Athens avenue, SW. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Mrs J S Brown, Fayetteville, Ga, and Mrs J W Butts, Atlanta; sons, T C S Burks, College Park, and E R Burks; brother, William Burks, of Mississippi. They are not located again until Sarah is found in 1910 Coweta Co GA, living in the household of her son, William, at the age of 89.
James married Georgia Manly on 10 Nov 1874 in Coweta Co GA. They were the parents of Nettie, Thomas Clinton Stacey, Early Richmon, and Winona Burks.
