"Death of Mrs. Biggy:
Aged Resident Of This City Who Was Active Among The Poor And Indigent:
Los Angeles lost another pioneer yesterday in the death of Mrs. Bridget Biggy, who passed away at her home on Henry Street. She was 68 years of age, and death was due to a general breakdown. For forty-five years Mrs. Biggy had been a resident of Los Angeles, and was well and widely known for her kindly character and indefatigable activities among the poor. Her's had been a picturesque career. She personally witnessed the construction into Los Angeles of the Southern Pacific Railroad, her husband having been a roadmaster for the company at the time of its building across the desert. Among the experiences she often related was the bloody uprising of the Apache tribes at Dragoon Summit. Mrs. Biggy leaves an only son, Francis V. Biggy, who is employed as an actor for the Brighton Moving Picture Company, Elendale."
