Kelly Peyton McBride, 69, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in Lake Charles, La., after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 20, 1937, in Rodessa, La. He was a resident of Vivian for 20 years, moving there from Lake Charles. He was a member of Atlanta Church of God and had served in the National Guard. He owned convenience stores. He was preceded in death by his father, Hurcial K. McBride. Survivors include his son, Randy McBride and wife Debbi of Vinton, La., daughter, Pam McBride Cating and husband Steve of Lake Charles, mother, Madeline McBride of Vivian ;sister, Barbara Ann Daniels of McLeod, Texas, brothers, Buddy McBride of Rodessa, and five grandchildren. His funeral will be at 11 a. m. Monday, Jan. 15, at McGuire Funeral Home in Vivian. Brother Chris Miller will officiate, with assistance from Glennell Brown. Burial will be in Vivian Cemetery. Visitation is 58 p. m. today. Pallbearers will be Scotty McBride, Cody McBride, Logan Cating, Steve Cating, Mark Chiles and Troy Otwell.
