Sister Arlene ministered as a teacher in the Iowa cities of Waterloo (St. Mary's and St. Edward's), Petersburg, Odebolt, Sugar Creek, Temple Hill, Arcadia, Alton, Norway, Granville, and Hospers.
She was born on April 23, 1903, in New Hampton, Iowa, daughter of Max and Margaret (Schwickerath) Glaser.
She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on Nov. 29, 1923, and made her final profession of vows on June 19, 1929.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews; and her Franciscan Sisters, with whom she shared life for 76 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ethel and Myrtle; and three brothers, William, John and Eugene.
