Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 2, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home for George “Bud” Coleman, 67, of Staffordsville, Ky., who passed away Friday, Dec. 30 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky. Mr. Coleman was born Sept. 28, 1938 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late George Coleman and Lenore Blair. Surviving are three sons, Gregory Coleman and Patrick Brunty, both of Ohio, and Tommy Brunty of Michigan; one daughter, Natasha Barnett of Thelma, Ky.; three brothers, Gene and Paul David Coleman, both of Paintsville, and Charlie Coleman Jr. of Grove City, Ohio; five sisters, Mary Salyers of Hager Hill, Ky., Sue Ryan, Janet Branham and Ora Lee Reese, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Kay Mahafey of Carlisle, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Larry Blair, with burial in the Mayo Cemetery at Paintsville. Arrangements under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Paintsville.
