Zona Bennett
Linton – Zona Bennett, 79, of Linton, died at 12:25 a.m. Sunday at the Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
She was born May 21, 1896, in Greene County, the daughter of Elijah and Harriet (Barnes) Gadberry. She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church of Midland.
Surviving are one son, John of Rolling Hills, Calif.; one daughter, Hazel Hosmer of Indianapolis; one brother, Melvin of Jasonville; three sisters, Alma Dillon of Detroit, Elsie Meharg of Trenton, Mich., and Zella Grass of Jasonville, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery at Midland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
