Kathryn Ann Perry (Tessinear)
January 19, 1946 ~ November 21, 2016 (age 70)
Kathryn “Kat” Tessinear Perry, 70, of 10 Ray Avenue passed away peacefully after courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Wake County on January 19, 1946 to the late Walter Ray Tessinear and Pearl Bailey Tessinear. Kat graduated from Corinth High School in 1964 and retired with 23 ½ years with Westinghouse as a tool and die maker. After retirement she worked 10 years as a secretary with WakeMed.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 25, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Ave, Zebulon, 27597.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Surviving: husband of 37 years, Roney Charles Perry; children: Mark Vincent Boughman of Zebulon, Jason Perry (Suzanne) of Lexington, SC, Tiffany Dayle P. DeLong (Dale) of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren; sisters: Betty Smith of Wendell, June Hogg of Knightdale; sister-in-law Jo Ann Tessinear of Knightdale; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Wallace and David.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church Missions, 2728 Marks Creek Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
