Carolyn Grace Finch Bunn passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the age of 72. She was born in Wake County and graduated from Wakelon High School in 1963 as valedictorian. Carolyn attended Hardbarger Business College and graduated with a degree in business where she served as administrative assistant with Department of Agriculture in Raleigh, Hi-Cone in Zebulon, and with the Wake County Schools Department of Transportation where she retired. She established a home for her family in Zebulon in the Wedgewood Community. Carolyn was a member of Zebulon United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed participating in all of the church annual fund raising events. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting flowers in her yard. Carolyn’s yard was always immaculate. Her favorite flowers were roses and gerber daises.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Zebulon United Methodist Church, 114 West Sycamore Street, Zebulon, NC 27597 from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm prior to the service. Other times at the home of Scott and Amy Norton at 8004 Glory Road in Zebulon. Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Zebulon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jack Glasgow and Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. Entombment to follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W Gannon Ave, Zebulon, NC 27597

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Neuma Alton and Ella Grace Mitchell Finch. Her husband, Billy Nelson Bunn, her son Christopher “Chris” Nelson Bunn, her brothers Neuma Elmo Finch, Sr., and Carl Durant Finch and sister-in-law Barbara Jane Perry Finch.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband of Zebulon; Daughter-in-law of Raleigh; Sister-in-law of Zebulon; three grandchildren of Raleigh; a grandson of Zebulon and a grandson of Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
