Kelly Joe Turner, 61, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 17th, in Solomon, Kansas. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas on March 18, 1955, son of Cornelia Joyce (McBride) Turner and the late Ben Walter Turner.

Kelly served in the United States Navy. He had an associates degree in business and agriculture and worked as a trucker hauling agricultural products around the United States. He also worked for Sunflower Taxi. He was a jack of all trades.

He was a member at Salina Belmont Nazarene Church.

Kelly is survived by his mother Cornelia Turner of Salina; son John Turner, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brothers, Harold Turner and wife Jayme, of Larned, Kansas, Kendall Turner, and wife Rhonda, of Larned, Kansas; sister, Brenda Adams, and husband Gregg, of Dyer, Indiana. He is also survived by grandchildren, Heaven, Neveah, Cuda and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Dean Turner.

Memorial Service will be held at Salina Belmont Nazarene Church, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 with Rev. Josh Kilsch officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kelly's name to Tammy Walker Cancer Center 511 S. Santa Fe Salina, Kansas 67401 or Salina Belmont Nazarene Church, 2632 Highland, Salina, Kansas 67401.
