Wanda Nell Bamburg Buckley-Coody, 65, went peacefully to be with her LORD on December 18, 2016 after a difficult struggle with lengthy and multiple illnesses. A Shreveport native, Wanda/Nell lived almost all of her life in North Shreveport. A graduate of Northwood High School in its infancy, Wanda/Nell retired from Bossier Parish Community College in 2013 after many years as an Administrative Assistant in the Allied Sciences College.
Wanda/Nell was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Henry & Lizzie Bamburg and Sanders and Ivy Lee Barnette, her Father, Elton Bamburg, her first Husband, Michael Buckley, her second Husband, Tommy Coody, and her Niece, Hannah Shafer.
She is survived by her Mother, Wanda Bamburg, her Children, Brent Buckley, Jennifer Buckley, and Joshua Buckley, her Siblings, Sandy Shepherd, Annette Shafer, and Bobby Bamburg, her Sister-in-Law, Judy Smith, Seven (7) Grandchildren – Amanda, Brent, Brayden, Christian, Kaitlyn, Rori, and John Michael, Five (5) Great Grandchildren – Nicholas, Stormy, Gase, Landon, and Ali, together with a number of nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends.
A Celebration of Wanda/Nell’s Life will take place Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 1:30, Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Palmer. In lieu of flowers, Wanda/Nell’s wishes were that donations be made in her memory to the donor’s preferred charity/church.
