BOBBIE HELEN LEE WAS THE SIBLING OF JOHN CHARLES, MARGARET, JAMES, BETTY RUTH, WANDA, RICHARD ALBERT AND JESS EDWARD LEE.

Helen Barton, age 83, of Stony Point, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 peacefully at home in her sleep. She was of the Baptist faith.

Helen was a very caring person, who had a passionate love for her family and friends. A housewife most of her life, she made sure that no one around her was ever hungry or without a gift of something that she was crafting. Helen had many talents, she loved to sew, crochet, quilt and can foods. Her hands were always busy with her projects. She had a great love for flowers and gardening, and had a large collection of chickens and roosters.

Born October 31, 1933 to the late Jess and Nellie Mayo Lee. Helen was married to the late Roach Barton for 60 years.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Betty (Lee) McLain and brother Jess Edward Lee.

Helen is survived by her son Freddie and wife Brenda Barton of Oak Harbor, Ohio; daughters: Edna and husband Wayne Walker and Sherry Horne all of Stony Point, TN; Grandchildren: Stephanie and Josh Swindell, Kirby and Jennifer Walker, Samantha and Jason Johnson, Candice Smith and Amanda Horne; Great grandchildren: Travis, Taylor, Adam, Logan, Reagan, Brenna, Jared, Landen, Emily and Brycen. She is also survived by her beloved sisters: Margaret Evans and Wanda Willingham; two loving brothers: James Lee and Richard “Bo” Lee, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tony Barnette officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Saturday at the New Providence Cemetery with Kirby Walker, Matthew Walker, Josh Swindell, Jason Johnson, Adam Swindell, Adam Fugate, Travis Barton and Charles Christian serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Smith, Landen Walker and Vince Hill.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am Saturday morning to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Jenkins and his staff, along with Amedisys Home Health of Rogersville, Lynn and Dena, Thank You!
