On November 21, 2016 our beloved Jerry took his last breath here on earth and then woke up to ride the golden streets of Heaven. Jerry Wayne Essary, 64, of Sayre, Oklahoma was born on June 8, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas. He is the son of Donald Edward Tyler, Esther Marie (Adams) Essary and Daniel Wilson Essary. Jerry passed away on November 21, 2016 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Jerry attended and graduated from Erick High School in 1970. Jerry Wayne married Pamela Gail Dunlap the love of his life on November 28, 1980 at the Texola Baptist Church in Texola, OK. Jerry is a United States Navy Veteran and proudly served his country. Jerry dedicated forty-six years to the oil and gas industry to provide for his loving family who he adored. Jerry was a devout Christian, an ordained minister, and an avid sports fan, specifically he enjoyed OU football and Oklahoma Thunder Basketball. Jerry was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, and lover of classic rock. Jerry's favorite group was AC/DC, he would say that the best music ever was created by them. Jerry loved his grandchildren very much and cherished all of the time he could get with them. The most important things to Jerry Sr. was family, hard work, and his devotion to Christ. Jerry Wayne Essary Senior is survived by his wife of 36 years Pamela Gail Essary, their three sons Jerry Wayne Essary Jr. of Sayre, OK, Jessie Lynn Essary and Spouse Kathryne Danielle of Sayre, OK and Daniel Lee Essary (Bear) and his wife Teresa Danielle of Sayre, OK. Grandchildren: Kali Brooke, Lillian Grace, Isabella Rose, Romeo Haize, Isabelle Grace, Jerry Wayne 3rd, Madeline Mae, and Jaxton Caine (admiral). Siblings: Terry Dunham, husband David and three children: Elizabeth, Joanna, and Rachel and their families. Janet Rae Nicholson Tarpley, husband Stephen and two children: Curtis, Clayton and their families. Dee Ann Graham, Rick Graham, and two children: Teresa, Neil and their families. Anita Beth Archer, her husband Terry, their son Nick and his family. John Wesley Essary, wife Eunice, and one child Wilson of the home, second child Branden and his family, and is survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wilson Essary, his in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Guy Dunlap, Donald Edward Tyler, and a host of other relatives and friends. Your memory will forever live on, live free Jerry.

Memorial Service, Saturday, January 14, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 504 N. 4th Street, Sayre, Oklahoma 73662.

I am Jerry's older sister. I know the boys (Jerry Jr, Jessie, and Daniel split up Jerry Sr's ashes; but, our sister, Dee Ann and I put up a memorial stone for Jerry beside Mama and Daddy at the Texola Cemetery. I thought you might want to update his profile with the information. Thank you!
