JONESPORT - Deanna French Chandler peacefully joined her Lord and heavenly family December 12, 2016. She was born August 3, 1955, in Jonesport, the daughter of Merlin and Yvonne (Urquhart) French.
Deanna graduated from Jonesport-Beals High School, class of 1973, and attended the University of Maine at Machias. She worked at Carver's Store, Beals; Stinson's Factory, Prospect Harbor; Ginny's, Helen's, Win-Place and Show Restaurants, and was also co-owner and operator of Tall Barney's Restaurant in Jonesport. She was an avid sports fan! She loved following the local sports teams, and her beloved Red Sox and Patriots. She was a very kind, caring and loving person, who always had a smile, and words of encouragement for her family, friends, and Facebook family, even when she was faced trying times herself.
She was predeceased by her parents, Merlin and Yvonne (French) Alley; father and mother-in-law Harold and Glenna (Davis) Chandler; stepfather, Ernest Alley; brother, Randy; a niece, Stacy (Bryant) Fitzsimmons; brothers-in-law, Charlie Bryant and Erwin Clark; and special friend, Horace Peabody. She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Orrin Chandler; stepson, Donnie Alley and his children; stepdaughter, April Smith , and her children; sisters, Joyce F. Bryant and Marlene Y. Dobbins; stepbrothers, Dennis, David and Dwight Alley, all of Jonesport; sisters-in-law, Ola Reynolds and Charles Bayrd of Steuben, Edith and Harry Bishop of Addison, Ora and Clarence Farnsworth of Jonesport; brother-in-law, Harold Jr. and Brenda of Beals, Roger and Denise of Hancock; a special sister-in-law, classmate and friend of 56 years, Marla Kenney and Clint Nelson of Columbia; many nieces, nephews and cousins, to include a special cousin, Cathy "Tish" Searfoss and husband, Craig, of Missouri .
In accordance with her wishes, a graveside service at the Greenwood Cemetery in Jonesport will be announced in the spring. Her family would like to thank everyone for their many prayers, calls, cards, and gifts of money. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
