Mrs. Mattie L. Matterson
Memorial Services will be announced for Mrs. Mattie L. Matterson, 89, of 5623 Keystone Place N., who died Saturday in a nursing home after a few months' illness. Cremation was directed by the Bleitz Funeral Home.
Born in Copenhagen, Mrs. Matterson came to the United States when she was 2, first living in Minnesota. She moved to Yakima in 1897 and to Seattle in 1918.
Surviving are a son M. Lee Matterson, Seattle, three daughters, Mrs Hilbert E. Calvin and Mildred Matterson, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Lloyd Y.Evans, Bellevue; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to Fircrest School or the American Cancer Society.
