OBITUARY

Mathilda Charlotte Peterson was born in Westra Borg [sic], Östergötland, Sweden, July 10, 1864. She emigrated to this country in November, 1885 and settled in Des Moines. She lived there until September 7, 1893 when she was united in marriage to C. G. Anderson of Stratford. To this union was born three children, two of whom died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her departure one daughter, Ellen, one stepson, C. E. Anderson, both of Stratford, besides numerous relatives and a host of friends. She also leaves four brothers and one sister, who reside in Sweden. Three brothers and two sisters have preceded her in death. Her husband passed away in 1908.

She finished her labors on earth on March 27, 1925, at 10:30 o'clock at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 17 days, after an illness of three years' duration, which she bore with the very greatest of patience. Deceased was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden and always remained a true and faithful member of this church.

Mathilda Peterson was born at Västra Harg, Östergötland, Sweden, the daughter of Frans August Persson and Clara Persdotter. She was baptized on July 10, 1864 in Västra Harg parish.

She emigrated to America in November, 1885 and settled in Des Moines. She resided there until September 7, 1893 when she was united in marriage to Carl August Anderson of Stratford. Three children were born to their union, two of whom died in infancy.
