Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Timpe. Born 25 March 1926 in Quincy, Illinois.

Received her education at St. Francis parochial school and Notre Dame high school, in Quincy Illinois.

Married Bert Allen in April 1951.

Passed away 18 November 1963 at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Survivors included both parents; her widower husband, Bert Allen; brothers Gene, Tom, and Jim Allen; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Olps.

Elbert G. Allen and Mary C. Timpe were married 21 April 1951 at St. Francis Catholic church in Quincy, Illinois. Reverend Thomas A. Rust, O. F. M., performed the nuptial mass.

The bride wore a white satin gown. The bridal gown featured a fitted bodice with a high collar and leg o' mutton puffy sleeves. The skirt of the gown was gathered into folds and featured a long train. She wore a circular veil with rose shapes in the lace, held in place with a seed pearl tiara. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white glamelias with satin streamers falling down.

The wedding was followed by a celebratory breakfast given at Durst's restaurant. There was an evening reception at the Labor temple in Quincy, Illinois.

The going away suit worn by the bride leaving for honeymoon was navy blue. She wore a short pink coat over it.

Mary C. (Timpe) Allen graduated Notre Dame high school in Quincy Illinois, after which she worked for Awerkamp Plumbing and Heating as a bookkeeper. The groom graduated Mendon high school in Mendon Illinois, and Gem City Business college in Quincy Illinois.

The groom served three years in the military during World War II, followed by working as a bookkeeper for Quincy Sales company.
