Isabel was born May 17, 1927 in Cuylerville, NY daughter of the late James and Eugenia Herbst Sprague. She was a longtime member and chaplain of the Mary Jemison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Isabel was also a self taught musician who served as organist for the Rock Glen Baptist Church for many years. She also volunteered at the Wyoming County Community Hospital for thirty years. She loved her pets and spending time with her family.
Isabel was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Johnson who died in 1993 and by her second husband, Richard Crane who died in 2008.
Surviving are her son, David (Catherine) Johnson of Wyoming, NY; her sister, Shirley Scroback of Wyoming, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Sprague, Chauncey Sprague and Helen Reynolds.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a date to be announced in the spring at Wyoming Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Glen Baptist Church, Rock Glen Rd., Silver Springs, NY 14550 or Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co., Wyoming, NY 14591. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
