Francisco Pantoja y Bexorana was born about 1796 in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico to Antonio Pantoja and Geronima Bexorana. He married Juana Petra de Alcantara Alvarez on 6 May 1817 at San Diego Presidio Chapel (SD Marriage 01195). He died about 2 December 1849 in California and was buried on 3 December 1849 at Mission San Gabriel (SG Death 06091).
