MAURICE J. MURPHY KILLED ON RAILROAD
------------------------
No One Saw Accident, So Far as Can Be Learned.
------------------------
When at work yesterday morning in the eastern part of the Atlantic avenue yards of the New York Central Railroad Maurice J. Murphy, of No. 404 Parsells avenue, was struck by a train and instantly killed. He was assistant yardmaster.

As far as can be learned no one saw the accident. The body was found on the tracks near the Atlantic avenue subway by other employees. A train had passed over it. The body was removed to the morgue by order of Coroner Killip.

Maurice Murphy was 35 years old and the eldest son of Daniel B. Murphy, who for many years was a partner in the firm of Burke, FitzSimons, Hone Company. He was born in Rochester and received his education in parochial and the Bradstreet schools. The number of his acquaintances was unusually large, and it is not going too far to say that he was well liked by all who knew him.

He leaves, besides his parents, his wife, Mary F. Murphy; a daughter, Katherine Murphy; a brother, Vincent Murphy, and four sisters, Mrs. James Finucane, Mrs. James J. Atkinson and Grace and Margaret Murphy.
