C. Harry Miller, 91, of Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village, formerly of Glen Rock RD 2, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the home, where he lived 4 years. He was the husband of the late Gertrude N. (Williams) Miller. He is survived by 131 descendants. The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, Glen Rock RD 4. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Mr. Miller was born in Springfield Township Dec. 2, 1901. He was the son of the late Charles S. and Ida (McCann) Miller. He was a self-employed farmer for most of his life in Springfield Township area and had been employed at the former Reed Machine Co. in Glen Rock in the 1920s. He was a member of St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, taught the Junior High Deptartment for many years and served several terms on the church council. He was a director and leader with the York County and Loganville 4-H clubs. He was a member of the Red Lion Grange and the York County Farmers Forum. He served for many years as a Republican committeeman in Springfield Township and one term as a Springfield Township supervisor. Mr. Miller is survived by two sons, Earl C. Miller of Loganville, and Ray L. Miller of Seven Valleys RD 1; seven daughters, Naomi Bupp and Treva Stiles, both of Glen Rock RD 2, Leona McCleary of New Freedom RD 2, Helen Sweitzer of the York Lutheran Home, Ruth Mellinger of Wrightsville RD 1, Anna Miller of Loganville, and Eva Beck of Seven Valleys RD 2; 47 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George A. Miller of Glen Rock RD 2; and two sisters, Lottie A. Hare of the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home, and Ethel I. Smith of Dallastown. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Timothy J. Stewart. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, RR 4, Box 40185, Glen Rock, 17327-9603; or to the York County 4-H Building Fund, care of Agricultural Extension Agent, 112 Pleasant Acres Road, York, 17402.
