EMMETT "BUCKY" MERTENS

Emmett (Bucky) Mertens, 75
, of 3017 Prairie St., Two Rivers, died late Monday
in Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday in
Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. The Rev. Marvel Juve will officiate
and burial will be in Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Mertens was born May 8, 1903 in Two Rivers, son of the late Henry and Emma
Lessing Mertens. He attended Two Rivers Schools and married Ethel Mettler in
1927 in Marinette. Mr. Mertens had been a tavern operator most of his life and
was a member of the Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife and three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Ethel) Gosz of Rockwood,
Mrs. Norbert (Ruth) Spaeth of Manitowoc and Mrs. William (Alice) Strong of Pueblo, Colo.
Friends may call in Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels from noon Wednesday until the time of service.
