She met Dad at a young age in Salt Lake City, where they would often meet up in Liberty Park and play on the swings together. When she moved to Sandy, he would ride his bike from Salt Lake to see her. When she moved to Santa Monica during her high school years, Dad would take the bus from Southern California, where he was stationed, to see her on leave.
They were married on June 24, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad passed away in 2009, and Mom has been wanting to reunite with him for the past three years.
Loma is survived by her children, Larry Fife, Randy Fife (Tess), Ken Fife, Diane Fife, and Craig Fife; along with eighteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Legacy Village Rehabilitation Center and Legacy Village Memory Care; while Loma was only there for a short time, the family is grateful for the wonderful care she received from the nurses and aids.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Valley View Funeral Home.
Loma will live on in our hearts and memories for many reasons…her caring nature, her devotion to her family, and her love for Pepsi and chocolate.
