Opal was born to Edmond Barney Alexander (1877 - 1931) and Helen Irene Gray (1880 - 1971) on June 12, 1914 in Fryeburg, Louisiana and entered into rest December 12, 2016 in Minden, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Corbin; daughters, Dorothy Jean Dempsey and Jo Ann Holt; two grandchildren, Pam Dempsey and Kevin Dempsey; six brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Donna Wise of Carrollton, Alabama, Karen Potter (Dale) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lisa Campbell (Greg) of Brookwood, Alabama, Gary Holt and Mark Holt (Kristy) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; six great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Town and Country Health and Rehab for the love and care given to this special lady.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Minden or donor's choice.
