FRANKLIN FURNACE — Lucille Mary Hughes, 97, of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born March 13, 1917 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Frank and Lucy Otworth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Hughes. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by two infant sons, Mark Hughes and Dale Hughes; one sister, Nora Otworth Craycraft; and two brothers, Frank Otworth and Ray Otworth.

Lucille is survived by a son, Michael (Julie) Hughes; daughters, Phyllis (Harold) Montavon, Mary (Ron) Nelson and Jane Crisp; grandchildren, Amy Hughes, Beth (Hughes) Monroe, Abby (Hughes) Carter, Brooke (Hughes) Allen, Andy Montavon, Darrell Montavon, Kimberly (Crisp) Borne, Jason Crisp, Marylee Crisp Adkins, Tim Nelson and the late Ronnie Nelson; great-grandchildren, Gage Hughes, Ryan Monroe, Hannah Hughes, Hayven Carter, Sienna Allen, Salem Allen, C.J. Allen, Andy Montavon Jr., Mia Montavon, Katelyn Crisp and Christian Crisp.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Ceri Garrett and Missy Denny for their friendship and care of Mrs. Hughes during her illness.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. at Harrison Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Wheelersburg Ohio.
