Virginia May (nee Pattee) Austin, 101 of Plainfield, IL, previously of Lafayette, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2016. She was born, October 4, 1915 in Buck Creek, IN. and the daughter of the late William A. and Rosa D. (Wilson) Pattee, Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Miller Austin, who passed away in 1999. She is the last of the Pattee brothers and sisters, Evelyn Doris Pattee, Maxine Elizabeth (nee Pattee)Tschopp, William Francis Pattee, Marguerite Letha (nee Pattee) Turner, and Charles Lee Pattee, all preceded her. She had no children but loved all of her nieces and nephews. She was an avid gardener, seamstress and loved to read the Bible and the Lafayette Journal and Courier. She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Frankfort, IN.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, December 13, 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West LaFayette, IN. Her services will be officiated by the Rev. James Farney. Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield, IL entrusted with arrangements.
