Virginia Mae Pearson ("Gigi"), 93, passed away peacefully at home in Lake Havasu City. She was born to George and Florence (Brott) Hansen on Oct. 19, 1923 in Longmont, Colorado.
Gigi lived a full and happy life. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Pearson and they shared 51 wonderful years together before he passed away in 1993. While her husband was serving his country in the Army Air Corp, Gigi was serving her country in the USO during WWII.
She continued helping and serving others throughout her life in many ways. She was a Brownie troop leader, Girl Scout troop leader, PTA president, and formed the service club Spare Timers that supported various charities as well as providing entertainment to multiple nursing and retirement homes.
Gigi was the playground director for the Long Beach, California School District and a bookkeeper for Bank of America. When she moved to Havasu, she continued to stay involved with the community and ran bunco at the Senior Center. She was a member of the Western Welcome Service Club and a collector of antiques. Gigi's greatest love and
source of joy was her family.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Bill Pearson; parents, George and Florence Hansen; grandson Jason Ford; sister Betty Jane and son-in-law Glenn.
She is survived by her daughter; Sandy Ford; son Dennis (Cheryl) Pearson; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
