EXPIRES AT HOME OF HIS DAUGHTER HERE, FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE MONDAY
John Considine, 58, coal mine operator, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P.R. Parker, where he had been residing. Death was caused by complications. He had been in ill health for some time but was only seriously ill for one week.
Funeral services will be held at the Parker residence on Hickory street Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville. Services will be conducted by Rev. J.W. Cummings, pastor of the St. Johns M.E. Church.
Mr. Considine was born Oct. 28, 1874 in Belleville the son of John Considine and the former Harriet Alice Raynor. He spent most of his life in this vicinity except for several years in Colorado. As a young man he was a coal miner, later he became a mine manager and in late years he has been a coal mine operator. At the time of his death he was operating the Henrietta Coal Company and was with the Troy Mining Company until two months ago. Mr. Considine was a mamber of the Masonic Lodge and the East S.t Louis Consistory.
His Marriage to Miss Bertha Gantner of Belleville occurred Mar. 6, 1897. She preceded him in death. Those who survive are , three daughters, Mr. P. R. Parker, Wr. W. L Dorr, Mrs. D.R. Blodgett; one son, J.R. Considine; a brother Joseph Considine and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Edwardsville.
