Veteran of World War II and Korea. Colonel, United States Army (retired). Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (Class of 1931). Commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery. During World War II, he served in the European Theater of Operations in Wales, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany. Was at the D-Day landing and was a participant in the Battle of the Bulge. Served in the Eighth Army during the Korean Conflict.
