Josephine L. Sarp was born June 4, 1929, in Latrobe, a daughter of Paul Sarp and Josephine (DeBone) Sarp.
Josephine married Robert Vadas, and they became the parents of a son and a daughter.
Throughout the years, Josephine was employed at Red Cut Lodge and the former Cap Works, both in Latrobe.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her life revolved around her family; and she enjoyed spending time with them and caring for them.
At the age of 87, Josephine L. Vadas, of Indiana, formerly of Latrobe, died Friday, December 2, 2016, at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Vadas; a grandson, Jordan Johnston; two brothers, Frank and Joseph Sarp; and seven sisters, Christina Patrick, Lena Hancock, Anita Miller, Pauline Gower, Agnes Kozubal, Jean DiMartino, and Geraldine Pavlik.
Josephine was survived by one son, Bobby J. Vadas, of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Theresa A. Petrof, and her husband Albert, of Glen Campbell, PA; seven grandchildren, Makayla Petrof, and her fiancé Leland Bennett, Gabriella, Anna, Rebekah, Sarah, and Selah Petrof, and Alyssa Jo Vadas; and several nieces and nephews.
