HENRY KRINGS OF COLUMBUS DIED SUDDENLY
Former Resident of Cedar Community Died While Visiting at Belgrade
Henry Krings, 67, of Columbus, died suddenly Thursday, Oct. 11, at the home of his nephew, Clarence Krings of Belgrade, where he was visiting.
Mr. Krings was a native of Platte county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Krings. He farmed in Platte county and for a number of years in the vicinity of Cedar Rapids in Boone county. He lived in Columbus the last three years.
About 45 years ago he was married to Miss Loiuse Fritz of Minnesota, who now resides in Omaha.
He leaves also two sons and four daughters, Henry Krings, Jr., of Loveland, Colo., Eugene Krings of Plattsmouth, now in military service, Mrs. Rudolph Kopecky of Dalton, Mrs. Mike Dreher of Grand Island, Mrs. White and Mrs. Ralph Mitchell of Omaha; four brothers, Emil, John and William Krings of Cedar Rapids and Frank Krings of Humphrey; and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Duier of Presho, S. D. Six nephews were pallbearers – Clarence, Harold, Richard and Edward Krings, Gerhart Gronenthal and August Duier.
Funeral services were held at St. Anthony’s church with Father Vermeullen officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Duier and son August of South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kopecky of Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dreher and sons of Grand Island; Mrs. Susie Krings, Mrs. White, Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Ackert of Omaha; Frank Krings, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Krings, Fred Gronenthal, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Krings, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mausbach, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Gronenthal of Humphrey; Mr. and Mrs. John Petersik of Lexington; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rezanina and daughter of Sidney; Mrs. Gerald Cox of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Chowek of Albion; Henry Swerczek of Columbus and Frank and Loretta Ziemba of Genoa.
