John Krings, 92, Dies August 20th -
Funeral services are being held this Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Anthony's Church in Cedar Rapids for John Krings, 92, father of Clarence Krings of Palmer. Mr. Krings passed away August 20 at Morris Laning Nursing Home in Columbus following a lengthy illness. Burial is being made in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Mr. Krings was a life time resident of Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Krings died on March 12, 1966.
Among the survivors are four daughters, Rose Vanderlop of Canoga Park, California; Leona Recanina of Sidney, Helen Swertzek of Cedar Rapids and Esther Swertzek of Columbus; two sons, Paul Krings of Cedar Rapids and Clarence Krings of Palmer and a large number of grandchildren.
