Rebekah was the daughter of David and Mary (Woody) Johnson.

Rebekah married Obadiah Harris on November 14, 1761 in Hanover County, Virginia.

Both Rebekah and Obadiah are list as original members of the new monthly meeting of 1778 at the Deep River Meeting House.

After Rebekah died, her husband Obadiah, followed his son Benjamin to Indiana. The history of Wayne County, Indiana and Randolph County, Indiana, show both Obadiah senior and Obadiah junior moving first to Wayne County, where Benjamin lived then later to Randolph County.
