OBITUARY
Shawn P. McLaughlin, 41, of Elizabeth passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 9:15 a.m. from the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. George Ave., Linden, at the Elizabeth city line, (908) 352-9190. Funeral Mass is at St. Genevieve R.C. Church, Elizabeth, at 10 a.m. Visiting is on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment is in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark.

Born in Denville, Mr. McLaughlin lived in Budd Lake, Mount Olive Township and Manville before moving to Elizabeth two years ago.
He was a fireman with the Manville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the South Bound Brook Rescue Squad. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
Mr. McLaughlin was a self-employed construction worker for Quality Home Repairs Co. of North Jersey.
He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Burns) McLaughlin of Elizabeth, and the devoted father of Hunter Ryan McLaughlin of Elizabeth and Amanda McLaughlin of Landing. He is survived by his father, Robert McLaughlin and his wife, Katherine, of Calabash, N.C., and mother, Kathryn of Williamsburg, Va. He was the loving brother of Robert of East Stroudsburg, Pa., Christopher of Blairstown and Kimberly Rente of Williamsburg, Va.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Ronald McDonald House, 145 Somerset St., New Brunswick, N.J. 08901, would be appreciated.
