Mary was Salutatorian of the 1954 graduating class of Fairview High School. Following high school, she worked for a time at Erie Resistor. She was a longtime member of the Lake City United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Nancy Roney; an infant brother, Paul Roney; a brother, Robert Roney; and granddaughters, Jennifer Perry and Destiny Angel Murphy. (Grandson Matthew Creaton died in 2020.)
She is survived by her husband, Richard E. "Red" Perry, whom she married January 28, 1956 in Girard; two daughters, Nancy L. Murphy (Craig) of Lake City and Janice Creaton of Franklin Center; a son, Rick Perry of Girard; sisters, Roseann Renshaw, Jenny Gresh (Jim), Joanie Baldwin, and Betty List (John); brothers, Mitchell, Chuck and Jerry Roney; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial in Girard Cemetery.
