MANCHESTER -- Stanley Sandler, 68, died Sept. 9, 2003, at a Boston hospital.
He was born April 5, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Philip and Anna Eva (Friedman) Sandler and had lived in Manchester since 1971.
An electrical engineer and electrical contractor, Mr. Sandler had owned Norman E. Day Inc.
A member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was the father of comedian Adam Sandler.
Members of his family include his wife of 48½ years, Judy Sandler; two sons, four daughters, four grandchildren, and a brother.
SERVICES: The funeral will be held at Temple Adath Yeshurun, 152 Prospect St., Thursday at noon. Burial will follow in Manchester Hebrew Cemetery.
Shiva will be held at the family home beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. and continuing through Sunday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, to be used specifically for lung cancer research, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford 03110.
The Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester is assisting the family with the arrangements.
