Forrest was one of ten children born to Swan and Catherine (Nordeen) Olson.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Nelson on December 24, 1917 in Bishop Hill.

His survivors included his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Irene) Gargano; six grandchildren; and one sister,
Mrs. Katherine (Olson/Cady) Likely.
He was preceded in death by
two daughters, one of them being
Marie Laura (Mrs. Lyle) Blodgett
one son, Stanley;
and his brothers and sisters.

Forrest had farmed most of his life northwest of Galva and after he retired, he did carpenter work.
