Mr. Jesse Anderson Morgan, 82, of Peoria, IL passed away at 2:06 am on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at UnityPoint Health Methodist ER.
Jesse was born on September 1, 1934 in Peoria to Andrew and Ella Marie (Graham) Morgan.
Jesse was a Manual High School graduate where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was a high school sports star. Jesse was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Jesse worked for Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Company here in Peoria for over 20 years. He last worked at the Peoria Civic Center for over 20 years.
Jesse leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Kent Bell of Peoria; two daughters Kali Morgan of Peoria; Kori (Jerome) Wren of McKinney, TX; four brothers, Grant Morgan of Peoria; Cecil Morgan of Manhattan, NY; Clifford Morgan of Peoria; Donelly (Mary) Morgan of Peoria; two sisters, Fannie Crawford and Roberta Morgan both of Peoria; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Andrew Morgan, Jr. John Graham; two sisters, Flora Mae Jackson and Josephine Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Bethel United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior at 10 am. Pastor Gary Wilson will officiate. Jesse will be laid to rest at Soldier Hill at Historic Springdale Cemetery. US Navy Military Honors will be rendered.
