Obituary
LaVerne Rust, 82, of Levelland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole, Texas.
Graveside Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, Texas with Reverend Gil Ramirez officiating. There will be a Family Visitation on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas. The family will greet friends following the service at South Plains Best Western Inn, banquet room at 204 N. College Avenue in Levelland, Texas.
LaVerne was born on July 28, 1930 in Paducah, Texas. She was the daughter of B.D. and Miranda (Gilliam) Downing. She was a retired Nurse who had worked many years at the Levelland Developmental Center.
She is survived by two sons; Drue Dunaway and his wife, Donna of Andrews, Texas, Bobby Dunaway and his wife, Lori of Levelland, Texas, one brother; Lee Downing of Phoenix, Arizona, one sister; Joan Ell Mixon of Littlefield, Texas, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; B.D. and Miranda Downing, two brothers; Ernie Downing and Prentice "Tex" Downing.
The family request memorials to: a Hospice Facility of choice.
